About Us
Founded in 2000 in the wake of the tragic events that shook Mauritian football, Curepipe Starlight Sports Club (CSSC) was created as a symbol of unity, peace, and integration through sport. Our formation resulted from the historic merger of four regional clubs in Curepipe: Cosmos Football Club, Beach Boys Volleyball Club, Rangers Handball Club, Curepipe Basket
This initiative, led by the Beach Boys Volleyball Club, brought together passionate leaders with a common vision: to unite the community through sport while eliminating divisions based on ethnicity, religion, or social background.
CSSC is officially registered as an NGO under the Registrar of Associations (ROA No. 4276) and continues to be a beacon of inclusion, performance, and purpose in Mauritian sports.

Infrastructure
Our state-of-the-art clubhouse was constructed on municipal land, leased to us by the Municipal Council of Curepipe in support of our vision. The facility, built at a cost of Rs 11 million, serves as a central hub for athletes, coaches, volunteers, and community members across all sports.

We are proud initiators of the LoveBridge Project, a national poverty-alleviation initiative that began with CSSC and has since grown into a recognized national program of inclusion and empowerment.
Our Leadership
CSSC is governed by a Managing Committee and supported by dedicated Sport Committees and a Social Committee. While the club operates with three full-time staff, much of our work is driven by committed volunteers, coaches, team managers, and sports professionals who believe in the power of community and sport.
